The Canadian in the big man's pond
Better Days Volume 0105
And I'm back ha-ha I never really went anywhere but let's pretend I did. So, again after finishing episode 9 and reading it over numerous times I felt that it was probably the funniest episode yet and wondered what I've done wrong before now that was different.
I guess it was the lack of trying to generate big laughs, I'm a sucker for the dramatics and comedy doesn't come natural. I think Kevin Smith films are funny, the humour only few can understand and not think "Ew, that's gross" Mom's for blowing is what they should be called, they just want television to be as bad as there lives are after they have children.
I wanted to post something saying thank you to my supporters because face it without you I have no reason to be writing this series, nor do I really have a reason to write. Period. I have plans thanks to Lost Angel over at Conflicts Message board for the great idea for a buddy film (Note to self, make sure when the board comes back to give her credit, at least I think she's a she, let's hope so, Stu will probably straighten me out on that someday.)
It was a great idea and if all goes well and the script turns out beautifully I'll have myself a film to go out and create.
What I would have done is have it like a Banana Chan appreciation script where the whole plot of the script leads us to it's creator and Jason, Barbara and Kenny meet the man behind there favorite show but what can I say. (Go visit the site linked in the series name if you have a chance, really good piece of writing.)
"Shameless, I am." As Yoda would say if he was actually real and not some fanboys wet dream.
I think Episode 9 is some of my best drama/comedy work on this series to date, 1 guy with a dream to entertain people and I can't even get more than 5 people to read the goddamned series.
That's a major slap in my face but I'm not letting it get me down, I will finish the series and once complete and revised I will force it down so many throats that you'll be tired of me. Nah, that's not me, don't read it, I could honestly give two S___ fill in the blanks and ask your mommy for permission to do that.
I have one more thing i'd like to gripe about today, what is with amateur writers thinking they're so good and better than everyone else? I mean if you're on a site like SimplyScripts and so on you are an amateur especially if you ask others advice so please stop the superior bull and be real.
And in closing thank you all out there and tune in for my next post about the series and things that bother me and probably more shameless plugs for a whole variety of stuff. Bye.
