The Movie...

Once season one is complete I'm going to write the film. I started a treatment for it and I love the idea.

I have been thinking of characters to be in it other than the normal cast of characters, I may have Danielle make her return. I haven't decided much on that, plus possibly some new characters that add something new to the series.

You'll be able to read some news about the film, it's plot the possibility of it being filmed and made and everything else soon.

I'm not saying for sure if it'll ever go anywhere beyond a screenplay but I'm just saying don't be surprised if it does. Ha-ha Yeah, that would be cool though.

The Cheese Above

I can't believe you started reading this post, but since you did welcome.

So, today I'd like to talk about Episode 10. Episode 10 will bring back Jason together once again with his buddies Barbara and Kenny, I guess he doesn't really have much else to do. Though the episode is about a hockey game, it's entitled "Hockey Night In Canada" it will be more about Jason's return. But the storyline will follow and set up the hockey game.

Since I am Canadian and love hockey, it's only fitting that my characters would as well... Right? Not so much, I haven't decided yet if they play it stupid and pretend like they don't know hockey or just mean and say that they hate it.

I guess this kinda answers the question "Where does the series take place?" I've mentioned the towns name in Episode 1 but I don't believe I've ever said a Country because I wanted everyone to say this could be me and not just generalize the whole thing.

I don't know if it works though, how do you relate to a series that goes beyond the call of duty to be dumb? I guess the answer is in the readers hands. I can't answer every question for you or it wouldn't be fun.

Entertainment, that's the key to a good screenwriter. Great quality screenplays don't always sell, it's the entertaining ones... Just look at a lot of the films being made today, they follow the simple pattern. Bloodrayne is an entertaining video game and now a film that could be, King Kong, Peter Jackson makes entertaining films and now he may do it again. The list goes on and on.

To end today I thought I'd say thanks you to Don, creator and hero of simplyscripts.com because without him we'd all be out in the cold trying to find someone to buy a script ha-ha. You are a god to the online community, I bow at your commitment.

The Canadian in the big man's pond

Better Days Volume 0105

And I'm back ha-ha I never really went anywhere but let's pretend I did. So, again after finishing episode 9 and reading it over numerous times I felt that it was probably the funniest episode yet and wondered what I've done wrong before now that was different.

I guess it was the lack of trying to generate big laughs, I'm a sucker for the dramatics and comedy doesn't come natural. I think Kevin Smith films are funny, the humour only few can understand and not think "Ew, that's gross" Mom's for blowing is what they should be called, they just want television to be as bad as there lives are after they have children.

I wanted to post something saying thank you to my supporters because face it without you I have no reason to be writing this series, nor do I really have a reason to write. Period. I have plans thanks to Lost Angel over at Conflicts Message board for the great idea for a buddy film (Note to self, make sure when the board comes back to give her credit, at least I think she's a she, let's hope so, Stu will probably straighten me out on that someday.)

It was a great idea and if all goes well and the script turns out beautifully I'll have myself a film to go out and create.

What I would have done is have it like a Banana Chan appreciation script where the whole plot of the script leads us to it's creator and Jason, Barbara and Kenny meet the man behind there favorite show but what can I say. (Go visit the site linked in the series name if you have a chance, really good piece of writing.)

"Shameless, I am." As Yoda would say if he was actually real and not some fanboys wet dream.

I think Episode 9 is some of my best drama/comedy work on this series to date, 1 guy with a dream to entertain people and I can't even get more than 5 people to read the goddamned series.

That's a major slap in my face but I'm not letting it get me down, I will finish the series and once complete and revised I will force it down so many throats that you'll be tired of me. Nah, that's not me, don't read it, I could honestly give two S___ fill in the blanks and ask your mommy for permission to do that.

I have one more thing i'd like to gripe about today, what is with amateur writers thinking they're so good and better than everyone else? I mean if you're on a site like SimplyScripts and so on you are an amateur especially if you ask others advice so please stop the superior bull and be real.

And in closing thank you all out there and tune in for my next post about the series and things that bother me and probably more shameless plugs for a whole variety of stuff. Bye.
